District Seven

District Seven is comprised of 6 counties in the Metro Atlanta area. As the Georgia Department of Transportation district that encompasses metro Atlanta, we have impact on the most vital transportation issues. At this very moment various road projects, improvements and management procedures are ongoing that affect the travel of millions of people. District Seven is unique in the fact that it has the highest traffic density in Georgia and one of the highest in the nation, while at the same time containing rural areas with farming and agricultural interests.
